in Bulletin Board, Inspiration

man with arms outstretched towards the sun

Ever present,
all around,
they bathe us in love
and radiant light

If our eyes
simply see,
our hearts hear,
and fingers feel

Apart from attitude,
the primary prerequisite
to receiving Blessings
is open arms

And all at once
it’s crystal clear:
we aren’t just “in the flow”;
we are the flow

I wonder where you found that angel to pose so willingly…

Your poem speaks the depth that you so readily demonstrate, Naomi.

Love to Dave and you,

P.S. The quotes are all really good – my favourite is the Irish Poem.

Thank you, Amy! What can I say…he’s my greatest blessing 🙂 It was tricky to select that quote from so MANY beautiful Irish ones!

Loads of love from both of us,

I think the best quote of all is the one from Kate Hudson

Do you know what a blessing it is to make movies that make people happy?

Naomi December 27, 2010 at 5:07 pm

Hi Tim, how cool of you to stop by and leave this comment. Thank you!

It’s a delight to follow the link to your blog and discover that you also write fiction. No surprise either that you appreciate this quote most of all. It made me smile widely because my two novels are written with the specific view of adaptation into screenplays and Kate Hudson inspires the protagonist (Gina) in the first one. The books are not only huge fun for me to write (I completely relate to your post “What Keeps Me Writing”), but harbour the objective of making other people happy. Whether or not this will happen remains to be seen, but it’s inspiring to contemplate anyway 😀

All the best with your writing…I’ll be following your blog for sure!

Cheers for now,

If there’s such a thing as “a complete post,” this is it. Loved it from top to bottom. And don’t you just love those Irish blessing. Always lyrical. And the Jewish proverb: probably my fav.

Thanks for this, Naomi. Happy New Year!

Naomi January 2, 2011 at 4:32 pm

Lovely. I like this one too. Very much.

You’ll like the Tolle book by the way. Small enough to keep in a purse for rereading.

Naomi January 5, 2011 at 10:56 am

Many thanks, Jamie. Why am I not surprised that you’ve read it already 🙂
