Confession time. Apart from my fetish for capturing cool profile pics, which I’ve admitted before, I have another – photographing perfume bottles. So I was doubly delighted when a generous friend gave me DKNY’s Delicious Candy Apples! My mouth simply watered to switch on our studio lights, just for fun.Now to float in the delicious flavour . . .

Fellow Islanders are very anti-scent. So many people have allergies that scents are not welcome in public places. In Vancouver, there are signs, “No scents makes sense.”

Therefore, I’m totally out of touch with the perfume world. A friend and I were realizing the other day that we are shocked when we pass a perfumed woman or a man with after shave – usually in cities.

Therefore, I had to google this product to read up about it. Hope it’s scent is luxurious.

That’s interesting, Amy. I’ve never heard of an anti-scent society. This one is light and subtle, so hopefully not offensive to anyone πŸ™‚

Very cute marketing. I am allergic to perfumes so I can’t wear them but I do so love all of the interesting bottles that they come in. That one is especially fun.

Agreed, Linda πŸ™‚ I also love the bottles, but struggle to find scents that I like to wear. Sorry to hear that you’re allergic, since good ones can be a pleasure.

Cool pic.

I’ve heard the “No scents makes sense” in populated areas because of people’s allergies and sensitives.

One of my favorite scents to wear . . . Vanilla Lace.

Thanks for that, Nancy, I’ll look it up πŸ™‚

Well done. I’ll have to check it out in the store.

Don’t you just love purples?

Naomi May 2, 2011 at 8:53 am

Come to think of it, Jamie, purple is also quite current, being so royal πŸ˜€

There is nothing like a beautiful perfume. I adore scent: to be able to walk around in accents of jasmine or lavender..heaven….not come across this one yet. I must get out and test it! Lovely photo, Naomi πŸ™‚

Thanks, Kate πŸ™‚ Jasmine is my absolute favourite, from abundant blossoms during childhood summers…
