Admittedly, it takes serious discipline to meditate daily, and I don’t often manage it. But I did, for a few weeks, when I first decided to write a book. The inspiration that flooded in was spontaneous and spectacular. In my opinion, nothing comes close to this if you’re struggling for subject matter.
There’s tons of literature about to meditate and many different methods. The trick is to try it out and find what works best for you. For me it’s a combination of techniques, which I’ve learned along the way from a TM (transcendental meditation) course, as well as various books and yoga teachers.
