SO much to be grateful for today, starting with the exquisite view when we awoke. Here’s a sliver of Autumn art on one of the trees that we gaze at from our bed:

Special thanks to Dave, for spoiling us with a new lens, which captured this shot. It’s a Nikon (of course!) 18 – 200mm VR AFS beauty, perfect to play with, especially on holidays, as it handles a great range from portraits to scenery.

Talking about being spoilt, we’re heading today from the beauty in our garden to the magnificence of the bushveld – Madikwe Safari Lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve. This is with sincere thanks to more people, since we’ve been invited by Marc, the head ranger. We met and became friends on Hills of Africa Travel’s Soul Safari 2009, which we were delighted to document. Here’s a video clip of one of the days, which shows a little of Madikwe’s magic:
