Quotes to consider:

“The secret of dealing successfully with a child is not to be its parent.” – Mel Lazarus

“Parents are often so busy with the physical rearing of children that they miss the glory of parenthood, just as the grandeur of the trees is lost when raking leaves.” – Marcelene Cox

“Parenthood is not an object of appetite or even desire. It is an object of will. There is no appetite for parenthood; there is only a purpose or intention of parenthood.” – Robin G. Collingwood

These are wonderful quotes, Naomi. I believe once we understand that “there is only a purpose or intention for parenthood” we can fully appreciate the miracles that our children are.
