Here are some pics from our sensational Soccer World Cup experience, starting with one of the trio sitting next to us on the train. They demonstrated just how it was done: South Africa for Africa – staying true to our roots sporting SA fan gear together with the Ghanaian flag!

One of our fabulous passengers was at the ready with crayons to colour cheeks . . .

After a rocking time on Metrorail, we arrived at Soccer City. This spectacular stadium towers above you, lighting up the sky! Here it is, as well as the scene inside:

There was more spontaneous mayhem, in the best possible spirit, on the trip home!

Wonderful photos Naomi! The very first one is my favourite. How cool is that. It says South Africa beautifully. I may have to reblog this one.

I looked up the tea you mentioned and according to popular belief, it’s quite tasty. I’m on the search for it now.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful country and ever so lovely people with all of us. Please pass on my compliments to your husband as well.

Between the two of you, you represent South Africa perfectly and add a wonderful colour and spirit to the world ~

Well done Ms. …

P.S. I may have to copy your audio post welcome idea. Awesome!

Thank you for your wonderful words, Brett!

I hope you find some Rooibos, although not sure how easy that will be in the USA. We visited Colorado two years ago, for some STUNNING skiing in Breckenridge, but didn’t see it anywhere. We’ve yet to come to California, though! Not everyone likes Rooibos, but we’re addicted, drinking it black, with no sugar – super healthy & full of anti-oxidants.

Love that you plan to add an audio welcome too!! I’ll pop across and listen 🙂 Dave’s suggestion is for the post to load automatically on entering the site…makes me think that one of these days blogs won’t be complete without it!
