Hi everyone, I hope 2012 is off to a fabulous start for you all. We’ve hit the ground running, hence the few blog posts and general silence around the blogosphere – apologies to my blogging friends!
Apart from being absorbed in a significant project to help save the rhino (which is progressing at speed, so more on that soon), we’ve consolidated the branding on our photography and videography business, to bring the outdoor (Outdoor Video & Photographic) and studio (OV&P Studio) aspects under one umbrella. This included creating a brand new website at www.ovpimaging.com.
Once again, I must offer a huge High Five to WordPress for being so brilliant!
Above is a screen shot showing the top part of the front page of our site, designed as a blog with the help of the awesome Thesis theme and the Exhibit skin for Thesis. We chose the blog format to keep things vibrant and allow Dave especially to share photographic advice and photography tips, together with straight-talking industry commentary. If you’re keen to stay informed, please subscribe
A genius WordPress plugin, CataBlog, works a treat to display our galleries, from African wildlife, commercial and corporate work, interiors and architecture, to modeling portfolios, family and location photo shoots, product and advertising photography, as well as a sample album of our portfolio.
To give you an indication of the modelling portfolios we shoot, the following photo features stunning model Christina (who is based in London) with our puppy Storm:
At a mere few months old, he’s already in the limelight! After a recent party we threw for Dave’s birthday, where Storm was the centre of attention (apart from Dave, of course
), one of our friends adopted two of his siblings. You can expect photo’s of them all having a ball together before long, but here are some to show you how rapidly he’s growing – fast enough to give Quest a run for his money soon:
It’s not all roses; the scent of the carpets that is. House training is slow and we’ve already steam-cleaned once, wall to wall, with more to follow! Still, one look at this smile and how can you be cross?

So glad life is full of event and that Storm is settling in nicely, Naomi
Love that picture of Christina with Storm!
Thanks so much, Kate! Christina was an absolute treat to photograph and it was her idea to include Storm in the shoot – we had a ball
Storm is growing SO fast!!! He’s gorgeous!!! xxx
THANKS, Lisa! Big lick of appreciation from Storm
You’re SO right…I’m counting the days until he’s too big to pick up and savouring every second in the meantime!
Beautiful pup! Glad all is well. {{hugs}}
Thank you, Nancy!! I hope all is well your side too and will be over ASAP to your blog to soak up some inspiration…missing it in the meantime! Big hug back to you, and a nibble from Storm
Naomi – Yes, notices of your new posts have not been coming…. I shall re-subscribe. Had to do the same thing with a few others, I discovered. There’s been a long silence and you have some great news.
I “liked” your OV&P, but I don’t spend a lot of time on FB. May have to subscribe differently since I do like to stay up with your forward strides. Wow.
How is La Femme de Feline accepting Storm? Is her nose a little offside these days?
Lovely to hear from you, Amy
Thank you for being in touch and for liking our FB page – much appreciated!
So sad to share (as per previous posts) that our beloved Jina disappeared mid-December, and has not returned. That was six weeks after her first 7 day excursion, where to we have no idea. Heart-breaking as it’s been, this is partly why we decided to get Storm, as Quest was appearing more and more lonely. Our love and prayers remain with jina, but the boys are having a ball together, which is healing in its own way, bringing boundless energy to our home
Big hug to you and so sorry for my silence on the blogs. Life has been extremely full, but I’ll catch up as soon as possible! XO
Look at how Storm is growing! Love the photo of you scolding him. It doesn’t do any good in my house either.
It’s quite mind-boggling, Tammy! Glad to hear it’s not only me…still battling with the house training
I love this blog. I was amazed by the photos. I love your dogs, so cute.
Thank you, Anne – much appreciated

You have been nominated – because you deserve it. i’ve missed seeing your posts in my in-box, and the chance to look at your wonderful eye-candy. There are a few of my recent photos on that same post. Do you think I am improving?
